It is quite an undertaking to commit to do it for a year but I am determined to see this through; even during days when I might not feel like picking up that camera and taking that picture. I. Will. Still. Do. It. It is also a way for me to get to know my camera and experiment, explore my creativity and learn in the process. This is what spices up my every day life nowadays among other things - and it has been fun so far.

Maya's 1st birthday is coming up soon so I've been busy with all the preparations for her big party, well big for Dutch standards anyway. So today, I spent my free time browsing through this shop online just so I could treat myself to some baby eye candy. And what a treat it was even if it was just for my eyes!
I can't wait for Maya to walk so I can dress her up better. Like I told Mike the other day, I love having a girl!
I wish they make these shoes for grown-ups as well!
I'm gushing over these super cute baby spring outfits from Boden! *heart*
I've been a fan of Boden for years but never bought any for myself because they're a bit pricey. But, oh, do I LOVE their clothes! They have very pretty selection for babies, too, and bought Maya a couple of dresses, maillot set and peacoat last year.
"Please go out there and do. Live. Don’t be the same as yesterday. Don’t live vicariously online. Don’t use language that has no meaning or talk ideas you don’t really live. Don’t hide. Don’t copy others or live their ideas or life. Don’t fear doing your thing. Don’t fear doing. Instead of reading a decorating magazine, paint that room. Instead of thinking of baking, do up a cake. Run, walk, bike. Put that self help book down and pick up yourself...
"Strive for your best and not what you think someone elses' best is. Follow through. Don’t let others’ down. Don’t let yourself down. You are better than your circumstances. Ask for what you’re worth. Make magic happen don’t wish for it. Don’t envy others’ lives, envy yours. Live it fully. Teach by example how to live well, how to be treated, how to be kind, how to be alive."
3. Digging into my Dutch books and notes. (Yes, I'm learning Dutch again and hopefully take it on a next level. I'm thinking of doing an intensive course until I reach Niveau 4 or 5 -- I'm shooting for the stars, I know! -- but for now, I'm gonna self-study.)
4. Index cards and colored pens
5. Easter-themed magazines with decor inspirations and recipes
6. Maltesers. Yum-yum-yum!
7. Being able to resist buying clothes and books (and feel good about it) to save up for something more useful like a new bookcase.
8. Being loved and appreciated.
9. Planning my birthday!
10. Switching back from coffee (blame Gilmore Girls) to green tea. Coffee gives me headache!
