Pinks and Whites and everything nice

I'm one day short to 34 weeks and I'm freaking out a little bit, in a good kind of way. At least I think so. Like I'm obsessing over if she has enough clothes for the first month or two, making endless lists of things that have yet to be done, keeping things neat and tidy at all times, arranging and rearranging stuff, overworking the washing machine, ironing for three hours straight, shopping for more baby things... I'm nesting all right!

The other day while I made an inventory of things we already have for B, I realized I have yet to wash her clothes and blankets and towels. Cue: Freak out mode! But then, the panic subsided and was replaced by delight while I was separating the colors and whites. I couldn't help but gush over how cute and tiny they are. And, they're all white and pink! I kept them on our dining table for a few days to gush over some more. Be still my heart!

By now, I think Mike is tired of hearing me say, "look how tiny these socks are!" or "aren't they lovely?" or "they are soooooo cute!" or "she's so gonna love these!"

With the latter, he'd just pointedly look at me and I know what's on his mind. Yeah, like she would know what they are. And I'd say, "Okay then, I love them!" And we both laugh.

I'm so happy to have discovered my inner girly-girl a few years back. I have never, and I mean, NEVER imagined I would categorize pink as one of my favorite colors. Now, it's all I ever like!

An early December treat

Yup! The fruit obsession is still on. Featuring my Food Friends design budget notebook/organizer from Paperchase where I keep all our receipts and jot down expenses and grocery lists. It's pretty handy and it makes me giddy every time I have receipts to tuck into the plastic pockets and lists of groceries to write down. It makes budgeting a lot more fun!

While cleaning up my desk and boxes of craft supplies, I came across the wooden green apple I used as paperweight which will soon take residence in B's room and a felt pincushion I made several months ago. I forgot about them and thought they could use a little "fresh" air. They complement my food organizer and apple pen well, don't you think?

What have I got? A swann and smerlin purchase I made last weekend so the lovely Odette could celebrate her 100th etsy sell which I was so lucky for because I did not only get the Airmail Cotton Label and the Lime Check Masking Tape made with Japanese washi paper that I paid for, she included the Party Flags Cotton Label too!

And, lookie here? There's more! It's been a while since I got a pretty little package in the mailbox so this was a really sweet treat. I guess I'm spoiled because I know her, huh? I'm so lucky to have a very sweet friend like her. She knows exactly how to make me smile. But, really, head over to her shop and check it out! She sells baker twines, handmade lunch cards, vintage buttons, cotton labels and cute tapes. Happy shopping! :)

Pretty Organized

I recently joined Ravelry, a knit and crochet online community. A postcrosser, who received my postcard, recommended it to me after she read that I like to crochet. I signed up a few days after but just got into it today. I just wrote my profile, checked out groups, and was browsing through a whole bunch of creative things people made. If you're into knitting or crocheting, this is a place for you.

My ID is Tarkheena. Feel free to add me there! I'd like to see what projects you guys are into.

This week, I did a little organizing using my pink suitcases and tin boxes where I store my ribbons, fabric scraps, yarns and other small things. They're great storage plus they look great on my desk, too. I think I may have started another collection.

Strawberry magnets to spruce up your fridge and memo boards. They'll be available in my shop soon!
