Tagged: All About Me 2

I am: so blessed to have a very loving husband, a wonderful family and such amazing friends.
I think: too much.
I know: that good things come to those who wait.
I have: everything I need.
I wish: my family and friends live nearby.
I hate: not being able to celebrate important dates with them and be physically there for them when they need me (and vice versa.)
I miss: my family.
I fear: people sometimes, that's why I don't really go out alone.
I hear: my fingers typing.
I smell: fresh laundry.
I crave: for chicken adobo.
I search: for cute things, constantly.
I wonder: if I am good with pets.
I regret: not having finished uni.
I love: Mike.
I ache: when the people I love ache.
I am not: a morning person.
I believe: everything has a purpose.
I dance: when I'm happy.
I sing: every where, any time.
I cry: easily.
I fight: for the people I love.
I win: at games I'm good at.
I lose: my patience when it's too hot and I'm busy doing something.
I never: had the chance to meet my grandfather, my mother's father.
I always: shampoo my hair.
I confuse: people with my languages when I talk. Sometimes a jumble of English-Bisaya-Dutch comes out when I'm nervous.
I listen: to words unspoken. I'm sensitive like that.
I can usually be found: in the living room.
I am scared: of the dark.
I need: to go out more. I stay indoors too much.
I am happy about: my life right now.
I imagine: myself as a mother someday.
I tag: Sinta, Gail, Joy, J.Ana and San.

Thanks JQ for this tag!

My Heart

"Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks yours
Everything I am for your kingdom's cause
As I walk from earth into eternity"

To my dad who taught me to dream

Happy Father's Day Papa and to all fathers out there! :)

This is a song called Dream by Priscilla Ahn - my current favorite.

Her Wifely Steps

I found her blog in January and been visiting it regularly ever since. There's something about the way she writes and the look of her website that got me hooked. I'm always looking forward to what she has to show and tell. From her weekend soirees to her things around the home, she has a way of getting her readers interact, and through that, I found a couple of new friends, too.

But my favorite is her reflections on On Becoming. I particularly like this post because it's hopeful and talks about a positive change. It's a celebration of good things, of future plans and established relationships, of believing and keeping faith, of soaring but staying grounded, of excitement and expectations, of going for what you want. It's inspiring. She's inspiring. That's Toni!

Go on, click on the banner and meet her. Don't forget to greet her happy 5th blogging anniversary and 5th wedding anniversary!

Randomness

I did two things that I haven't done in a long time. I painted my toenails pink. And I ate Toblerone, the only "nutty" chocolate that I eat.

Mike asked me earlier how well I know my animals sounds. I smirked in a bring-it-on kind of way. That would be easy, I thought.

"How does a giraffe sound," he asked.

Uhhhh.... *?* I was blank. I don't know! How should I know?! Haha. Do you know??

Recently, I have been making lists. Lists of to-dos, parcel contents, grocery items, presents for family, my wardrobe, countries we want to travel to, my book collection, my book wishlist, goals and how to achieve them, craft projects, etc. I love lists. They keep me focused.

I went through my own compositions folder today and went through some songs that I wrote a few years ago. So funny to listen to them because they're so amateur. So raw. I blush when I listen to them myself. Most of them are not finished and I will share to you one that I particularly like. I hope to finish it one day.

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

It's Queen's Day tomorrow and, as usual, we have no plans. The weather forecast is pretty gloomy so I don't know how that's gonna go. I really want to hunt for furnitures. We might end up watching a movie in the cinema again.

And the day after tomorrow is another holiday. They call it Hemelsvaart, the Ascension of Christ. Mike took the day off on Friday so it's going to be quite a vacation for him. Hurray for holidays!

A friend from high school is the new drummer of a popular band in the Philippines in the 90's. Remember After Image? I used to have a big crush on him back then. Haha, oh, those were the days. I think it's really cool to see him living his dream. I'm proud! They're new album is out, I think. So don't forget to check them out. Check their official music video of Musikero here.

Being brave

I don't know if it's a good idea posting this.
But then again, why not?
This was taken through Mike's cellphone last year, when I still had long hair.
However, before you play it, I ask you only one thing.
Please don't laugh.
Okay?
Lest I go back hiding in my tiny shell.
*takes a deep breath*
