I hate our upstairs neighbor!

06 March 2008 WHY?

1. He stomps when he walks, it feels like the ceiling is going to cave. As in heavy footfalls. I don't know if he does it on purpose because it's only last year that I started noticing this and we've been living here for a bit more than three years already. Mike did ask him about it sometime and he flat-out denied it to his face. The nerve! One time I was so annoyed, I sent Teddy flying to the ceiling which didn't yield any result because he's a stuffed bear after all and doesn't have as heavy feet as the human bear posing as our neighbor. But, tonight, I deliberately stomped rather loudly in our bedroom. Thrice. Ha! It made me happy.

2. He is very talkative and loud. The first and only time I went to his place which was supposed to be a 10-minute thing ended in an hour-long monologue we have to sit through at 11 pm. It practically made me want to crawl to the bed, like listening to a bedtime story, only a boring one. I never set foot in his apartment after that. When he and his girlfriend argue, we can hear him all over the place like he's just in the kitchen or the next room. I have no idea why she's still with him because he is rowdy and very annoying.

3. But then again, they say that he's probably good at something else which is also driving me bonkers because they go at it after 1 am. Once, I woke Mike up and he coughed a really loud one and there was a sudden silence. I almost laughed out loud that I had to put a pillow on my face to stifle it. It's most annoying when I'm finally dozing off and then I hear squeaking. We slept in the living room for two weeks straight after that.

One of these days, when my patience goes to a boiling point, I might have to knock on his door and tell him to mind his steps or there's going to be Saw 6 in the making. He also has to know that he definitely needs to soundproof his bedroom walls and that we don't need to hear them fight over groceries and smelly bedsheets.

The good news is, they're planning to move out. I just hope we get better, nicer and soft-spoken neighbors with very light feet. And that they get to sell the place soon! Oh, good luck to me.

I have been off caffeine since Sunday which is probably why I'm griping right now. Although this whole caffeine rehab is working out pretty good because I find myself craving for cola less except during dinnertime when I normally drink it. It's an association thing and I'm learning to be off that. However, I did find a substitute for my cola addiction. I am now a regular cappuccino drinker. It's decaf though.

But, gah, I really hate him.

Hahaha! Remember the second commandment: Love your neighbor as yourself...heheheh I can imagine how annoying. Our neighbor also has an annoying stuff - they have piggery and the smell is all over everyday!!!!! The wife was already told by Papa though...hayyyy. On the other hand, your email of jokes made me really laugh..I shared to Papa and we had a fun time LOL! Luv and miss you sooooo much! hug!
It is a tough one to love him because he's really annoying me right now. I'm glad you had a good laugh yesterday. I got it from Odette. *HUGS* I emailed you this morning!

i can relate to that! last month, i had a confrontation (rather a bit ugly) with my next door neighbor because of his too loud rock music which is just totally NOT my cup of tea. then i called the owner of the compound, who lives in davao, to please handle the situation because i could not tolerate this neighbor's brash behavior.
i'm just glad he's behaved since. no rock music to jolt me out of bed in the morning anymore. ;-)
Loud music is also a nuisance. I'm glad your problem is resolved! I don't think mine will be anytime soon. :/

Oh no! lol That must be so horrible!

I hope they move out really soon so you guys can have some peace and quiet. :)
It is horrible! I was really thinking of the movie Saw last weekend. lol

I really really hope they move out soon!

I can sympathize...I once had an upstairs neighbor who used to play Dance Dance Revolution, talk about a rhythmic stomping nightmare! Hope you have better luck with the future new neighbors :)
Thanks, Jess! I really hope so too!

I think I must be the luckiest in town. I can cry out loud at the top of my lungs with my door to the veranda opened and my neighbors are too happy to compliment me. Quite funny though, they thought I have real gigs.

I have an idea, Boots. Why don't you invite them for a dinner in your place and poison them? Joking. Hugs!
lol.. I don't want to end up in prison. :P
