Beautiful Day

It was surprisingly sunny today and the effect was very calming. I took the corner spot of the couch with a warm cup of tea in hand and just gazed outside, at the birds flying above the naked trees. I loved that carefree moment as I sat there, feeling a calm solitude, soaking up the beauty of a quiet afternoon. Then I found myself reaching for the camera and took a picture of the side table with the stack of books I recently acquired from the book fair we went to last Saturday. It's amazing how a ray of light can lift up your spirit and it was exactly what I needed. This is my kind of winter.
I made the resolve to find inspiration in my every day. Be it a bouquet of flowers, an e-mail from a friend, a cup of tea, a favorite corner or sharpened colored pencils.
There is so much beauty everywhere, it only takes for us to look closely to appreciate it.

| linen paper, scalloped edges, pastel prints and ribbons! nice picture of the tree against a purple sky!   It's stationery for me today. :)Thank you! That was the sunset yesterday. I can't not take a picture of that. It was beautiful. |

| Your entry inspires me! You have a wonderful way with words and pictures. So light and inspiring! Other things that inspired me today: my husband's morning look (groggy and cute), a blank piece of paper, and interestingly, a pile of research papers with statistics. Eeew I know but it did inspire me to prepare a better presentation at work. Thank you! :)Haha, I'm glad I don't have to deal with a pile of research papers with statistics, because I hate statistics! I'd exchange it with a pile of laundry or dirty dishes any time. lol |
