Be Still My Heart

I am almost near the end of Jane Austen's book, Persuasion. I have come to read the part of the letter. I am writing now with the book on my lap, excited and looking forward to the next few pages that will tell the outcome of this love story. There is no spoiler in this post. I don't write such, not yet anyway. I just want to say that I am a sucker for anything romantic and Jane Austen novels never disappoint. I will write more about this book at the end of the month.

I recently joined an online Jane Austen Book Club which is hosted by the talented author, Miss Jo, of wits and nuts. This is my first ever book club and I couldn't be more happy to have started with this book.

If you wish to join us, you are very welcome! Just head over to her site and sign up. :)

Now, let's see how this book ends!

is it a good read? i've wanted to read that book since it was featured in The Lake House (with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock). Haven't ready a romantic novel in a while.
Yes, read it! If you like Pride and Prejudice, you'd like this, too. This is just a shorter version. :)

awww, i haven't finished the book yet, i was busy again with kj home. btw, do you think it's possible to order with ikea via online? í really need plates. nice pretty plates anyway. :(
You can check the ikea website there if they have it. Ask for a catalogue first, it's free (here, atleast). Maybe you can also call and inquire.

wahh, great choice. captain wentworth was really dashing... and i'm not just imagining mr. wentworth miller, who's also delish. hahaha. my second favorite book.

i keep all JA books in my PDA just in case i miss reading her prose in my bus rides. thank God for project gutenberg. :D
Hahaha! Wentworth Miller was who I had in mind when I read Captain Wentworth. :D

I've only read 3 JA books and this book is my 2nd fave too.

I'm nearing the finish line, too. *wink*
Oooh! Exciting! I finished it a couple of minutes after I wrote this post. I just had to write about it because I thought that chapter was the heart of the book.

Congrats on joining a book club. Sounds like a great way to keep you on a steady reading pace :) Did you also watch the JABC movie? The whole time I was watching the film I wanted to join one too hehe
I haven't seen it yet. Will check the book out first and watch the movie. Heheh.
