Prepping up

Thank you all for the well wishes and for purchasing the cellphone charms! I hope you like them! To those who haven't yet, there are still a couple left: one of each apple, strawberry and flower. So get them while you can because they're actually priced lower than my actual shop price and I don't think I'll be making more of them.

I can't wait to get the shop up and running! I'm so excited but I can't do all of it so fast so I'm just taking my time. It's really fun preparing for it but also very mind-numbing and time-consuming. I'm currently doing research on packaging. I've been checking out how other crafty shop owners package their products and I'm getting lots of ideas. However, this has proven to be quite difficult because I'm very inexperienced in this area. I've no idea where to look and get labels made should I opt to have them done for a professional look. Suggestions and recommendations are very much welcome!

I also haven't designed the look of the shop yet. I've no inspiration to do it at the moment as I'm more focused on making the products and packaging them nicely. This is when I get a little stressed out because I still feel the enormity of having a shop but I pull my strength from all of you who encourage and support me all the way. You guys are amazing! I am so overwhelmed! Without your comments, messages and e-mails, I'd probably still be daydreaming about the concept of being a shop owner. I have to say that it feels great to put this out in the open. I feel like I'm keeping way too many secrets!

My notebooks are now put to good use. I'm using three at the moment - one for doodles and design samples/ideas, another one for making checklists and lists in general and the other one for the just-about-anything but I'm using it because it's small and fits easily in my bag. I could just easily write all of it on my laptop but I recently found out how de-stressing it actually is to write things down by hand. To exert that effort to write down your goals and thoughts in paper. It gives it more meaning and it's also my way of practicing my handwriting again. One more thing I also find helpful is writing my goals and to-do lists on post-its and sticking them on the wall next to our bed so I see them before I sleep and when I wake up. They're great reminders and motivators!

Anyway, I'm off to bed. I have a long day tomorrow!

don't wear out yourself gracey, take a lot of rest, and breaks in between even if it's just a little walk. all the planning and designing can get more than a handful at one point, so a little break will refresh and recharge your energy. :)

keep going, and keep following your heart's passion. you are now living your dream. :)

God bless and keep you strong!
Thank you for the sweet advice. I'm trying to do things in moderation. But I can't help it sometimes when inspiration hits me because I'm like an energizer bunny. I work that way. Hehe. It can get pretty heavy really but I'm glad that it has been moderate lately and I have so much to do so my energy is spread out. :)

I'm sending you luck Gracey. I just know you can do this. Your talents and good soul won't allow you to chicken out this time. Do you have any idea of what kind of talent you have? I am SO envious of your skills. :)
Aww, now you're making me blush! I'll do my best because I'm following my heart. :)

And I'm envious of yours! lol
