Restless.

I'm far from getting any sleep and it's already half past two. My mind is having a race on its own - I can hardly keep up. I want to make this idea that involves felt fabrics, threads and buttons into fruition but I don't feel like taking them out and making a mess - especially not when it's dark outside and I get the constant feeling of having to look behind me or the doorway. I easily get jumpy - not something I'm looking forward to having this time of night. However, I'm a night person but I hate the dark.

My sleeping routine has finally improved until a fortnight ago - I was back to counting sheep and reading boring books. I stopped taking sleeping pills a week or two after I started taking them and it looks like I may have to again.

Anyway, I'll go back to choosing which dvd to fall asleep to. Toodle-loo!

Update: I fell asleep around 4:30 to 5:00. Woke up at 9 but decided to sleep some more until it was quarter to 11. Poo. I hate it when this happens.

hmm, i've never tried sleeping pills, but usually what puts me down very quickly is a glass of red wine. and i mean quickly, like a matter of few minutes. :)

i sleep very late too, and i don't hit the bed until i am very tired, to leave no time for thinking. i keep busy, write snails, read on the internet, organize my mess. hope you're back in the rhythm soon!
Alcohol doesn't work for me! It will only make me more restless. :/ Unless I really get myself wasted which is something I'm not into.

Most of the time I am tired when we retire to bed but the flights of stairs to the bedroom wake me up and when we get to the bedroom, I get so chatty while Mike can totally disappear in his sleep the minute his head hits the pillow. It's not fair! lol

I hate when that happens. I used to have a really bad problem with falling asleep but ever since I moved in with J it's gotten easier. :)

I hope you sleep well again soon!
I really hope that too! I want to sleep normal at least before the babies come stealing those away. lol

Do you take naps during the day? I used to take a nap as soon as I got home from work which often led to staying up to the wee hours. So cut those out ;)

Maybe try some sleepy-time tea before bed, which has something like chamomile and lavendar that is supposed to be 'calming'. Yoga is always good too, at least the ending 10 minute meditation segment of my DVD zonks me out right on the mat haha.
No, I don't nap because it will mess up my sleep even more.

Tea doesn't work for me either. :/ I've no idea why. Sleeping pills barely work so I have to be KO-ed to really sleep on time. lol

Hahaha, does KJ carry you to the bedroom? Yoga sounds good, got a dvd recommendation?
