Cram Alert

I have so many things to do today that I don't even know where to begin. There's laundry (machine + handwash) to do, the place to tidy up, clothes to iron and pack, a package to wait for, utilities to buy, a list to make, and MORE. That's not even with personal stuff I have to do like shower, do my nails, etc. I'm already skipping drying my hair just to write this. I have to get things done before two and it's already ten thirty. Because at two, I will be at the sis-in-law's new flat to help out. And, because, we will be home around ten tonight and will leave early tomorrow for the 4-day weekend trip to Nijmegen with the fam and I can't stop my head from zooming with lists of things to do. I keep seeing GET STARTED flashing in neon green but it's fading now, for the time being anyway. This is how I am before a trip (long or short); I'm all stressed out. I just don't want to leave things in disorder. Everything has to be in place when we get back. Why do I always do this to myself?

Woke up late today, around nine thirty, because last night was another episode of toss and turning which lasted for two hours that reading a boring book could not help. Then I had to read e-mails, write some back, do a couple of blog rounds, hydrate myself, look around the rooms to see what needs to be done; my regular morning routine. So yeah, writing this has cost me ten minutes but that's okay because it relaxes me and it preps my system for the adrenaline rush that will take over my body afterwards.

So I better get going then. Wish me luck!
