So to celebrate this wonderful day we went to the market despite the knowledge that it will be packed with people of all ages. From babies in prams to old people with walking canes, the market is an interesting scene. I haven't bought anything there besides fruits and flowers for a while, but today is such a good day that I was in the mood to update my fabric stash. It's been so long since I actually checked out fabrics there and the sellers constantly change so I had no idea where to go. We just walked through four very crowded aisles to see if someone's selling them and, alas, we stumbled upon two stalls. Both sell almost exactly the same fabrics but the latter have more nice stuff plus they're way cheaper. If I didn't stop myself, I could have easily dished out a hundred, but I didn't want to spend so much so I settled with what I have. For now. I bought a couple from the first one we went to and felt so ripped off when we discovered the second one. I couldn't stop thinking about it. Yet, I'm happy with my purchases. Now I know where to get them next time since the lady said they are there every market day.

Then we found the ribbon and button stall. I was (always am) on the hunt for pretty buttons and I found some. Oh, what joy! I couldn't get over it yet because they're just sooo cute! I'm going back there next week to get some more because I realized that these are not enough. I don't think one can get enough of it!

I'm looking forward to making stuff with my new finds. Sewing machine, here I come!!

Ooh.. more pretty stuffs. We don't have markets that sell gorgeous bits like this. It's all fruit, veg and fish. ![]() I was surprised they have it all in a mix here. But I'm happy they sell it there otherwise I'd have no idea where to get them fabrics (besides the fabric markets which are soo far from here.) |

| I have to stifle my laughs when I saw all your fabrics. I am wearing one of those checkered fabrics, in red right now. I know how giddy it feels scrounging for stuffs you like in the market. I just love the bargain you get there. Cheap thrills me. ![]() Checkered tops are very in right now. I'm searching for nice styles myself. :)The market here isn't as nice as there, I think! There are a lot of Japanese fabrics I can't wait to buy in person! I see a lot of them online but they are quite expensive and the shipping costs more than the stuff themselves. :/ |

| Ahhh, it's so nice to have fabrics at a market. The only way the market in my town would have fabrics is if they were 100% organic and fair trade...with all the granolas that live here :P hehe Can't wait to see what they evolve into :) ![]() But you have stores and malls that sell a huge variety of fabrics! They don't have that here!I have projects lined up for them. Just wait and see. :) |

BTW, are you interested in doing a sort of creative swap? i kind of make necklaces ;-) ![]() They're so cute, aren't they?? I want to cuddle the buttons but they're too small. Haha.A creative swap sounds doable! Let me know the details. How many stuff do we make to swap and mailing address and all. We'll email! |
